September 16, 2019
Key Takeaways To Tune In For
- [3:02] How to identify an online job scam
- [9:32] Jobs that aren’t scams but you should still avoid
- [12:30] Real remote job boards that won’t scam you
Do you ever get a gut feeling that a job offer is too good to be true? Internet scams are widespread and can be an easy trap for people looking for online jobs. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to tell if someone is trying to scam you for your personal information.
In this episode, Esther shares some of the top job scams and fake job offers. Popular examples are; when they ask you to pay for software, do three months of work without half of the money upfront, or ask you to transfer money back and forth though your bank account.
Not only do you need to avoid job scams, you need to avoid jobs that don’t pay enough for your time as well. The post online would say, “P.M. me to join my team”, or “get paid to fill out surveys”. If you are looking for REAL online job opportunities sign up for Esther’s job pack emails, Taylor Lane’s Remote Like Me Job Board, and/or Deb’s Remote Work Hub.
