Everyone hates having to go to the office or workplace. You have to worry about rush hour, traffic jams, weather conditions, and sometimes road construction. These, and lots more could all make you late for work, even more, being late often can lead to you getting fired. Nobody has time for that! Well, why not work when you want to, no traffic, no getting in trouble for being late to the office, you will still have things you have to be on time for like deadlines or due dates, but the time you have saved from not having to beat traffic you will not have to rush, and of course the best thing is, you can do it all in your sweatpants and t-shirt from home! This is why I choose to work from home and so can you!
One thing I love is feeling completely comfortable during a long day of work. I can literally roll out of bed and start working if I wanted to. I don’t have to dress up, do my hair, or makeup because most likely I will not be seeing anyone outside of my home unless I want to. Who wouldn’t want to work in their jammies all day!? This is also great because, on the bad days where I just feel I can’t find anything to wear or it’s laundry day and nothing nice is clean, you won’t have to stress over any of that anymore. It’s always casual Friday.
People spend close to $50 dollars a week on lunch if they are working in the corporate world. Think of how much money you would save by working from home and eating lunch there or heck, you won’t even have to take lunch, just munch all day if that’s what you want to do. You also won’t ever have to worry about other people eating your lunch in the employee break room or taking your turn to clean out that nasty fridge in there. Finally, you would be able to eat healthier than you could if you were going out to eat each day at a fast food place. Now you can take that extra money you saved and go buy something nice.
The flexibility of working from home allows you to work when you are the most focused. You could be the “early bird” or the “night owl.” Think of all the stuff you could get done in a day. You could make a schedule for your week just like a boss would do for you in the corporate world. If an emergency happens and you need to pick up and go, you will be able to. You will need to let your clients know of course, but most people are very understanding when it comes to emergencies.
Working from home allows me to keep my body and mind healthy. I can work out a time of day where I can get some exercising done. Remember you need to get up and move around during the day. Take a walk around your block or do some simple exercises at home, such as jumping jacks or sit-ups. When we are at home we are less likely to get the exercise that we need that you should get in for the day as you would if you are working in a company building. It’s very important to get up and move around once in awhile, it could save you in the long run with health issues.
If you have children, they can take up a huge part of the day, but there is hope when you are a mother trying to work from home. First of all, you won’t have to spend lots of money on daycare or babysitters. You can work while your child or children are taking naps, you can have a playroom for them right where you can see them, or you can have them help you out with little things. You will be able to watch them grow and never miss any milestones in their life like you would if you were away from them all day. Being able to bond more with our children is what every mother wants, so start today by choosing to work from home like I did.
I always hated having to miss something special such as family birthday parties, cook outs, beach trips, or just hanging out with friends and family because I had to go to work. Guess what? When you work from home, you won’t miss any more days of celebration because you are the boss. If you want specific days off, well go right ahead and take them off! Just think of all the wonderful events you will now be able to be a part of.
Family vacations are always the best time, but if you work for someone else you are not likely to get many vacations days if any. You won’t have to work a whole year just to get one day of vacation time. You can gather the family up and go whenever you want to. The best part is you can take work with you if you wanted to, so now you are not just taking a vacation but you can making money on vacation!
Now you know some of the reasons why I choose to work from home.
